In recent years, sustainability has remained at the heart of our daily commitment. Thanks to everyone's contribution, we have achieved important milestones that demonstrate our desire to reduce our environmental impact and promote increasingly responsible practices.
Now that we are halfway through the year, it is time to look back at the goals we have achieved so far, both those we set ourselves and those that still need to be resolved by the end of the year.
With the renovation and insulation of the roof, together with the heat pumps already in operation since the end of last year, we have not only improved energy efficiency, helping to create a more comfortable working environment, but we have also made the structure more solid, laying the foundations for the installation of a photovoltaic system in the future.
We have renewed our ISCC Plus certification, an international standard that certifies the management and use of raw materials derived from chemical recycling in plastic moulding, guaranteeing the same performance as “pure” raw materials.
The aim of this certification is to reduce waste and the release of non-recyclable waste materials into the environment.
We have completed the installation of a new central vacuum system designed to extract and transport dust, fumes, vapours and other materials from different work areas to a centralised collection point.
The system offers numerous advantages to our team, improving working conditions thanks to reduction of dust and harmful substances in the air, while noise in the department is significantly reduced, creating a quieter and more productive environment. In addition, optimising energy consumption, making the production process more sustainable.
Future projects
As mentioned at the beginning of this article, our commitment to sustainability does not stop there.
We hope that our desire to install a photovoltaic system that aims to cover our energy needs with renewable sources will soon become a reality, in synergy with the other structural improvements already implemented.
We are working on a tree planting project to make a concrete contribution that combines clean energy, care for people and respect for the land.
Finally, we are planning an analysis of the CO2 emissions associated with our activities in order to identify new solutions to reduce them.
Our path towards sustainability is guided by the belief that every action, no matter how small, can contribute to a better future for everyone.
Although the results achieved are a source of great satisfaction, we still have a number of projects in progress that we hope to complete by the end of the year. This will allow us to plan new initiatives for next year, thus continuing our journey towards increasingly sustainable development.
