We had been eagerly awaiting them, and finally, they have arrived.
The year 2024 began with the replacement of two of our hydraulic presses with two new electric presses.
For years, we have been undergoing a process of renewing our machinery with the aim of achieving greater efficiency and a lower environmental and resource impact. In this advancement, we have decided to rely on Fanuc, a world leader in factory automation.
The replacement of hydraulic injection molding presses offers numerous advantages. Among them, electric presses guarantee higher productivity with lower management costs compared to hydraulic machines. Electric presses also provide energy savings because they consume electricity only when in use, without the need to constantly maintain hydraulic pressure. Additionally, the absence of oil to heat significantly speeds up startup times and allows for simpler and less frequent maintenance compared to hydraulic machines. Finally, electric presses enable faster and more precise processing, reducing cycle times by up to one-third compared to hydraulic presses.
We are working on renewing our entire machinery fleet to continuously offer better service... one step at a time, or in this case, two.
