We have digitized the quality control registration processes within the production management system (MES).
We strongly believe in the digitalization of management systems, and this additional piece of our corporate puzzle will elevate our quality control processes to the next level: they will become even more precise, transparent, timely, and efficient—not just for our benefit, but most importantly for our customers.
This upgrade allows us to ensure greater transparency and traceability of the various control stages, even in real time. Unlike the previous system, where reports were created in Excel and could be easily altered by recipients, the new system offers secure and reliable data management.
Operational efficiency has also greatly improved with this implementation. We now have a single source for all phases of the production cycle, whereas before, the data was stored in separate files for beginning process and in-process of production stages. This integration enables faster, more accurate, and timely responses, streamlining analysis and reporting operations.
Additionally, the integrated program includes a reminder system that helps quality control personnel promptly carry out scheduled checks, minimizing the risk of oversights or inaccuracies.
Finally, and just as importantly, this evolutionary step for Vplast also impacts our commitment to sustainability—an area that has always been close to our hearts and shapes all our business decisions. It reinforces the standards that we have set for ourselves and already follow on a daily basis: we avoid waste, starting with the elimination of the use of paper for documents, through to the reduction of paper in the press, promptly stopping the production of articles that do not meet the desired quality standards.
